Circle of Trust is all about the tale of love and trust. (Phil) Yul Edochie has a girlfriend Elvina (Esther Audu) who loves to live an extravagant life even though her parents are not that rich. Her boyfriend Phil tries his best to make her happy but his best doesn’t seem to be enough. Annie is best friends with Annie (Ruth Kadiri) and they have another friend Lina (Onyi Alexx).
Annie is in love with her best friend, Elvina’s boyfriend, and Phil and day dreams about him on and off. One day, during a girl’s time out Annie, Lina and Elvina engage in a discussion about men and Lina is really angry and says she can’t trust men because on the other hand she just broke up with her boyfriend because she saw a picture of him with another girl on Instagram. And so Elvina vouches for her boyfriend that all men are not like that that her man loves her and that he can’t even get erected by another woman’s nakedness. She places a bet for 20 million on who among her other two friend’s would sleep with her man. Lina refuses but Annie who is already in love with him agreed so the game was on. Now the question is who can we trust?
ELEMENTS OF PRODUCTION:
SOUND EFFECT: the sound track in the movie was properly used as there was no clash of sounds in the movie and different sound track were suited for each scene.
SHOTS AND ANGLES:
OVER THE SHOULDER ANGLE:
CLOSE UP SHOT:
The acting of this movie I would say is on the average because the actors of this movie seemed quite fake. Onyi Alexx (Lina) her acting wasn’t good as she acted like it a mere Child’s play. The main theme in this movie is trust and love. The directing on the other hand seemed to be on the bright side. The movie portrayed a real live situation which can happen in this present day that’s why I give kudos to the script writer as he or she did a good job making sure that this movie is not the regular cliché Nigerian movie we are used to. To assert this I strongly suggest that anyone should be keen on watching the movie. The lighting director also did a good job as the lighting in the movie was good not like some other movies when we see the actors sweating due to heat generated from light. The costumer did a great job as all the actors dressed well and portrayed their roles as fabulous trendy and classy. On a brighter note the actors did a good job as each of them played their roles well and made the emotions so believable. In all the movie to me is an average movie due to some errors like:
The movie was quite confusing at the and because we see that Annie tells Elvina that she didn’t like Phil that she did what she did to test Elvina’s love for Phil because Elvina is too stingy and self-centered because if she had won the bet she wouldn’t have hesitated to collect her own 20 million naira. Meanwhile in a scene Elvina told Phil that her father left 20 million naira for her so she can but whatever she wants but we see that she didn’t actually have such because she still wanted Annie’s money.
Pictures: The camera man I wouldn’t give too much kudos to because the pictures at some point became blurry for example, when Phil and Elvina went shopping in the mall and he walked out on her the picture became blurry.
FAVOURITE QUOTE: “I AM NOT READY TO MANAGE” (Esther Audu as Elvina)
“I LOVE YOU FROM THE DEPTH OF MY HEART BUT I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE”
CONCLUSION: the production quality was a top notch. The movie was shot straight to the point and no unnecessarily prolonged scenes. Although an average movie but it talks well on a real life issue which is one to recommend for all.
