ELEMENT OF PRODUCTION
SOUND: The Sound wasn’t perfect but audible enough to be heard and understood. Although, the Sound tracks were amusing and catchy, most of them were in Efik (Akwa-Ibom native language)
LIGHTING: The Lighting was not that good but it is a 2013 movie, I guess much isn’t expected.
COSTUME: The costume was okay and I like the fact that it portrayed the characters really well. Ime Bishop was always looking tattered and Moses Armstrong looked like a well-educated professor that he was. I was also able to identify the touts, the receptionists and bankers just by looking at the dressing.
OVER THE SHOULDER
While watching this movie, I could barely concentrate because it was absolutely amusing and I loved the arrangements of the scenes. It was straight to the point, not too serious and well organized.
I liked the casts in the movie because they all knew their parts so well and I couldn’t think of anyone that would fit the part better, especially “OKON”, he was perfect for the role and I don’t think anyone would have done it better. His “stupidity” cannot be compared.
Although the lighting and sound wasn’t really great, I really enjoyed the movie and I recommend it for everyone, this comic relief movie was able to capture the importance of Education and also show that people only care about what the Government can offer them not what they can offer the Government.
I would have really loved to see Okon well polished and educated, instead he was left by his wife, rejected by his school Crush and left to go through the struggle of life alone. I was sorry for him.
FAVORITE QUOTE:” Inyanmi” – Efik for Oh My Goodness. This was Okon’s favourite saying.
This movie is a must watch for everyone, especially people who love comedy movies. I love that Imeh Bishop was able to keep up with his crazy antics from the beginning to the end of the movie without being a bore or losing the whole concept of the movie. I totally adore that the movie captured the fact that Education is really important and illiteracy shouldn’t be an excuse for Stupidity. Although I wanted to see Imeh Bishop performing well in school (speaking plain English and not being a total nuisance) and probably winning the heart of his class crush, the movie was GREAT.
