Being Mrs Elliott the directional debut of Omoni Oboli tells a story of Mrs Lara Elliott, an overbearing wife who had issues with her husband Mr Bill Elliott who wants to adopt the two sons of a dying relative but Mrs Elliot would not have it. The film generally portrays Mrs Elliott as an affluent woman who despite her constant bickering on her Husband finds herself in a situation she never would have thought of but manages to make it work to her benefit.

CLOSE UP SHOT
I must applaud the creativity of Omoni Oboli for a job well done in directing being Mrs Elliott.it goes out of the norm of the normal Nollywood films, the way the characters played out their roles making me wish the film did not end. The movie displayed Africa’s culture immensely with the casts of the film such as Omoni Oboli (Lara) and Majid Michael (Bill) playing out their roles superbly.
The film was intense and also had humour mixed into it with Ayo makun playing the role of Isawuru the Babalawo who seemed to be the most educated man in the village and Lepacious Bose who to me was my favourite character for adding humour to the movie making it superb. The movie also had good extras that played their roles well which are rare in Nigerian Movies because much attention is not drawn to extras in a movie.
Apart from the casts in the movie the production was of high quality with good camera angles and shots which is rare among Nollywood movies. The movie also made use of Original songs that explained the movie in full Length depicting the message that the director wanted to pass to the audience. There was fluent use of English with no grammatical blunder. The way the actors gelled with each other made the movie fantastic and the continuous use of suspense made me glued to my sit. Being Mrs Elliott is a must watch for any movie lover and except for the poor change of scenes a job well done to Omoni Oboli and the actors for keeping the movie flawless
Being Mrs Elliott was an unpredictable movie that displayed Africa’s vast culture bringing creativity to the movie industry. I will rate it 9/10.
