The movie is about a childless couple (Akintola Akin Lewis and Opeyemi Ayeola) who have been married for 8 years and they remain ever caring and loving to each other. On a certain occasion the husband (Akintola Akin Lewis) also known as Biodun is imprisoned. There is pressure on the lady (Opeyemi Ayeola) also known bukola to do something about her childlessness. After much persuasion she is forced to marry the houseboy (Yemi Solade) also known as Daniel. The houseboy becomes the man of the house and in no time he takes over the operations of the house and bukola becomes pregnant and has a child. Then there is a change of government and the husband is pardoned and released from jail .The husband comes back to the house and everyone is speechless and astonished. Daniel the houseboy has to go back this duties and everyone acts like nothing ever happened. The unexpected happens when Daniel could not condole his patience again and tries to revenge.
The movie is one of the best old Nigerian movies ever. It makes use of the best characters for each role of the movie especially her friend (Sola Shobowale).The movie really captures consequence of lack of Patience, bad friends and what Pressure from family members can cause you. The Yoruba lifestyle is really portrayed from the dressing to the family lifestyle. The music used was fantastic it fit in at every Point in time. The song even made me tempted sometimes to go back and watch some Parts again. I recommend this movie for everyone.
ELEMENTS OF PRODUCTION
Sound Effect and Lightings
The sound of the movie is very nice and the songs used in the movie were properly used, it wasn’t like a normal Nigerian movie where the song is sang throughout or tells us the whole story. The movie was very good and we could hear what everyone said at every Point in time. The lightings in the movie was not so good but it wasn’t all that bad either
At the beginning of the movie there was an argument between the mechanic and (Akintola Akin Lewis) as known as Biodun. The mechanic tells him that the Parts of the car was not delivered due to NAFDAC people. NAFDAC is known as (national agency for food, drugs and administrative control) .they don’t handle car issues.
The use of the costume was really good. It portrays a real Yoruba family setting. The use of English wear was hardy used.
Shots and Angles
Here are some shots and angles in the movie;
Close up shot
Extreme long shot
Low angle shot
All in all I think the movie is great .The movie was unpredictable and for an old Nigerian movie it is unusual .My favorite quote in the movie is move on with life you don’t have another one. The movie contains suspense and that is great because it leaves us viewers to want to watch more. I recommend this movie for everyone and to even go ahead and watch Part 2.
